The objective of Lights On Tampa 2009 is to create a multi-sensory experience for the visitor. This is being achieved through programming:

Artists are selected from an international call to artists by a critically acclaimed jury. Artists are then invited to create a proposal.

Lights On Tampa is a public/private partnership that reinforces Tampa’s commitment to the arts, technology, and education.

The Lights On Tampa program was developed by the City of Tampa’s Public Art Program, in conjunction with regional businesses, volunteers, and art supporters.

Lights On Tampa is an innovative project of the City of Tampa, Art Programs Division. Lights On Tampa is a biennial, which opened in 2006, and will return January of 2009 to continue its mission to engage, entertain and educate the community.
